BEWARE OF USED WATCHES.Hey guys as you all know this watch is by far the best watch for your buck out there. I don't think you guys need any more information about how much value this watch provides at $300-$400. However, I want to make everyone aware of USED watches that were returned to Amazon and then sent back to different customers as NEW. I've ordered this watch THREE times so I know what it's supposed to be like.1st watch ordered from Premium Japan-As this was my 1st watch, I just assumed this watch was new. The first watch came with a clear plastic sleeve for the bracelet buckle ONLY. Everything was good until I realized there was dust under the sapphire face and therefore returned it.2nd watch ordered from Japan Shop Ninja-The 2nd watch came with the clear plastic sleeve for the bracelet buckle AND there was plastic tape all over the bracelet. I thought to myself wow this must be new and I was sold until I noticed that the hardlex glass on the back was seriously scratched and thus I returned the watch.3rd watch ordered from Zen-Japan-The 3rd watch was just perfect and came in today. It came with a plastic wrap that sealed the white Seiko box and was wrapped up with tape. It came with the clear plastic sleeve for the bracelet buckle AND plastic tape all over the bracelet AND there was a plastic adhesive on the hardlex glass on the back! Wow I was convinced this was the real deal.So there you have it guys, I'm not sure what anyone else's experiences were but just a heads up, inspect your watches carefully.*Also all my watches were displaced from the pillow provided, I think thats a well known issue that SEIKO has and does not mean that the watch is used.

Love this watch. Having owned several automatic mechanical watches from Seiko, Citizen, and Orient, this SARB033 by Seiko is by far one of my very favorite. It exudes quality all around from fit and finish to functionality. I have a small approximately 7" wrist and this watch fits me perfectly. For anyone with a wrist 7 1/4" or less I'd say this is the perfect size case (38mm). The hacking and hand wind feature really seals the deal for me. As a bonus, the Hardlex(Seiko's version of mineral crystal)window case back is awesome. The crown operates smoothly, the simple and clean dial/indices makes telling time easy. The solid link bracelet is nice with a combination of brushed and polished finish. The fit and finish all around are outstanding. The bracelet adjustment for fit is not complicated just need the usual tool for bracelet adjustment. There is a two position micro adjustment. This watch is also versatile to accept other straps. I'll let the pictures do the talking here.As far as function, mine runs a little fast at 5 seconds per day the first couple of days, it then settled to about 2 seconds per day thereafter. I will update in a month.Amazon delivered the watch quickly and in a sealed plastic wrap indicating the watch is new direct from the factory. There is a small piece of paper inside the presentation box indicating that it's a JDM watch. The price here at Amazon is the best I can find. SeiyaJapan,LongIslandwatch, CreationWatches can not match the price or delivery time. I could not be happier. Highly recommended.10-27-18 Update.Absolutely love this watch. Still going strong and still very accurate at 2 sec. fast per day. So versatile! A true everyday wear watch!

I've had my SARB033 for a few months now and thought I'd share some observations. I was very lucky to snag one a few months ago when Amazon briefly had a few of them at pre discontinued prices. I absolutely love the quality for the money, the size, the design and overall style and look of the watch, starting with the lovely shape of the case and the clean simplicity of the dial. It's super easy to read the exact time to the second. Its casual dressy look that looks great with jeans and a tee shirt as well as a suit make it the perfect everyday watch suitable for anything except diving or other hard use situations that might result in it getting beaten up. But it's perfect for my everyday use and I really love the look and feel of it.I do have a couple of minor complaints: I wish the sapphire crystal had anti reflective coating, wish there were more micro adjustment holes on the clasp, and wish the clasp fit more flush to the band so there wasn't such a large gap along one edge of the clasp (shown in second photo). But the rest of the watch is so great for the cost that these minor issues mostly related to the clasp design are pretty easy to live with. And the clasp is still solid and secure. In other respects the bracelet is quite well made with very nice fitting solid end links. It's the first automatic watch I've used on a regular basis for over 20 years. Most of my other watches are high accuracy battery powered quartz (or regular accuracy solar quartz) and it took awhile for me to learn how to get the best accuracy out of the Sarb automatic watch. I thought it might be helpful for others if I go into a bit more detail about this. When I first got the watch I wore it 24 hours a day and started using a free app called watchcheck (highly recommended btw) to keep track of the accuracy. Under these conditions it was initially running about 5 seconds a day slow. Now I know this is supposed to be fairly good for a mechanical/auto movement powered watch but after coming from quartz I wasn't especially thrilled with these results but was prepared to live with it as it was within specification and somewhat expected. Then one day the watch started running about 30 seconds slow. A few days later I woke up to find the watch had completely stopped. Fortunately, after hand winding it started right back up. I concluded from this that I was likely not active enough to keep the watch adequately wound using just the movement of my wrist and decided to start giving it about 15 hand winds each morning. The accuracy immediately returned to running about 5 seconds slow per day, again while wearing the watch 24 hours per day. Then I decided to experiment with taking the watch off at night to see if I might achieve better accuracy. First I tried leaving the watch dial up on my night table while I slept. Accuracy improved to about 2 to 3 seconds slow per day vs the 5 seconds slow I was getting before. That was encouraging. Then I tried leaving it dial down on the night table while sleeping and amazingly (to me at least) accuracy has improved to about plus or minus 1 second per day (and sometimes even better, but over a week or so it averages out to a little less than a second a day). I was and continue to be just thrilled with this. So my routine is now to remove the watch at bedtime and leave it dial down as well as to hand wind the watch 15 or so turns each morning before I put it on for the day. So far this has resulted in the amazing accuracy (for an auto) I indicated above. So for some of you who are experiencing less than optimal accuracy (especially if running slow) I think it might be very worthwhile to try some hand winding to keep that mainspring powered up and experimenting along the lines outlined above to see if your accuracy might also be considerably improved simply by adjusting your usage pattern a bit to compensate for some of the positional timing variation issues that are inherent with mechanical movements.Update 7/9/19Still loving the Sarb033. Finding it difficult to give any of my other watches any wrist time since I got the Sarb.Accuracy over time has fluctuated a bit, but over the past 6 months or so it's been averaging about 2 or 3 seconds per day slow which I'm very pleased with.Update: 1/5/2020Accuracy has declined to an average of 8.5 seconds slow per day.
