Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I bought this a month ago, hoping to use it and i got to with a snow storm that came through.I used to use the snow brush/scraper handle type, which is great for brushing off snow, but not good at removing ice.I saw this on amazon & saw the other great reviews and I knew i had to get it.We had a snow storm come through a few days ago & i woke up to iced over windows.I used claw part and started to rip into it,then i flipped the blade scraper part and cleaned the windows clean of ice.I was pretty amazed at how quick i took this ice off. This wasn't real thick but i'm pretty confident it'll eat through thick ice.For the price of this winter tool you really can't go wrong, and it'll sure make things easier on those cold mornings with the wind blowing & freezing out. I was so impressed I had to shoot a small video just to show how good it works.Do yourself a favor and get one of these.

Thank goodness I got this!!! I threw this in the car w/ my 5 others ones of all types. Yesterday in PA we got a relatively thick coating of ice from the freezing rain that fell for 2 hours. I walked out of work to the sounds of my co-workers busily chop, chop, scrape, scraping away on their cars. They were using the long ones (I have some too) with the brush on one end and the hard to get the right pressure scraper on the other end. Then I remembered I had this one. I started the car, grabbed this blue one and thought, good opp to give it a try. WOW - not only was I done before the other poor peeps still trying to get the right angle but I was able to help some w/ the other sides of their car and get out of the lot before the peeps out there much longer than I was. I'll give 5 stars to products but this one deserves higher! Truly the width covered and scraped with 2 passes on some thick-ish ice the needed some elbow grease. Very pleased and just sent one to my sister!

This is a wonderful scraper! It is made of heavy-duty plastic, and has a padded handle. It has a nice wide scraping head, making it quicker to use than other scrapers I've tried. It did not damage any of my windows, and it scraped the ice off smoothly and cleanly. The only recommendation I would have for improvement would be to make the product a little longer (I am 5'3", and I couldn't reach halfway across the windshield on my Mazda SUV). Overall, this is a high-quality product, and I recommend it. Please mark if you find my review helpful. Thank you so much!

Used this ice scrapper on a brand new car and it left fine up and down scratches on windshield. In the past I have even used a ice scrapper with a brass blade called the Fantastic Ice Scaper with brass blade and it too left scratches but that was a different car. So I guess the lesson is to expect fine scratches from ice scrappers and to rarely use them unless you don't care about the scratches. Hence my okay three star rating.

The thing about living in an area that almost never sees ice is that you're never really prepared for it. Our cities and counties won't spend money on road clearing equipment that will sit unused, snow (and snow chains) will only ever be seen on TV, and you never really think about having to scrape ice off a windshield. But over the summer, I was reading an article about things you should always keep handy in your car, and an ice scraper was one of 'em. I thought back to a couple of years ago when a rare hard freeze was coupled with some rain, and I remember having to wait forever for my defroster to wear the windshield ice down enough that I could wipe what remained off and finally drive to work. So I figured I'd grab a relatively cheap scraper and pride myself in being the only one prepared the next time it happened. And sure enough...Then about a week ago, I walked out to my car to see the windshield covered in what I thought was just a thick layer of dew. As it turns out, the sun had melted the somewhat thin layer of overnight ice off of just about everything -- except the fronts of cars that were parked in the shade, including mine. All stupidly excited, I grabbed my ice scraper, jumped out of the car, and had my windshield cleared in no time at all. It's a sturdy tool that can certainly clear more than what I had to deal with that morning, but it was such a good thing to have on hand as I pulled out of my parking spot, seeing my neighbors trying to clear their own windshields with credit cards and defrosters.

Received this just a couple weeks ago and stored it in the bottom part of my glove box (2012 Toyota Sienna, there's a smaller top and larger bottom glove box). It fits perfectly in there along with some other documents and, admittedly, crap that I should probably get rid of or move to the house. In any case, the temperature in my area has only dropped below freezing twice and I was able to test it out and it passed with flying colors. the handle and neck of the scraper are sturdy, and although I had to put a good amount of pressure down to scrape the ice away from my windshield, I was never concerned that any part of it would snap off. I haven't had the need to use the other end of it, but I'm sure it works just as well. It's funny. I've wanted an ice scraper for years, and because of the short time that it actually gets cold enuff to need one, I never have picked one up. When I was first driving, I would just use a CD case. This is a big upgrade. Plus... who carries a CD case any more? ;-)
