I cannot believe I am having to say this about a Dewalt product. I am so used to them being about as good as you can get, but I found serious useability issues with this set.The case is good and strong with the usual sliding lock. The problems start out as very minor, but slowly get worse. The case has lots of sharp edges and after a long day working, if your fingers are tender, the case is not too comfortable to use. It also has lots of spaces inside which trap dirt, and worse rain. This speeds up corrosion of the boys inside when you close it up to go off site. The bits themselves are tempered well, and accurately ground. However they seem so determined to stamp them as made in China, and Dewalt, that it is hard to tell if it supposed to be a P1, P2 or P3 type bit and so on. One bit was not marked at all and two were so faint that I practically needed a microscope to read what they were. PLEASE less of the "China" and "Dewalt" I know who you are and where you are made. I am more interested in knowing what size you are. Or stamp them properly at the very least. The bit selection is a bit odd also. Possibly too many P2 bits? Certainly too many S2 bits at they do not wear as quickly and are common mainly in Canada. The arrangement of the bits in my set was odd, with the P3 in with the S series of bits and so on.These are fairly trivial so far, but where it becomes much more of a problem is getting them in and out. Mine will not press back in, as the little black tabs get pressed inside the rest of the holder if you try. You have to slide them back in, and that is not easy as space is cramped. The holders do not even swivel up to make it easier to get them back in. They tessalate into the case, so cannot move. It is even really difficult to get the holders in and out at all, as I don't think they are meant to be tampered with.I am lucky, I had an old blow-molded case from a cheap set of bits I got years ago. So I was able to move them into that as the proper Dewalt case is so unusable. One last problem was that I don't understand the markings on the slotted bits? I am used to them being marked according to the width of the blade, or even a combination of the width and thickness. I ended up with my micrometer trying to make sense of one marked "8" being 6.97mm, pretty much just 1mm more than the one marked "6" , but 1mm less than what I would have thought it should be. If this is how bad quality control is that they cannot even get the size right on plain slotted 1/4" hex bits, then it is worrying about if there are any other nasty suprises that are hiding, waiting to be discovered?

These bits were junk. Shame on you DeWalt. If you want to save money and have them made in China at least exercise some quality control. These bit were NOT properly heat treated. Drill bits when PROPERLY heat treated break not bend. I bent both 1/8 bits and the 1/4 bit. Thankfully Amazon has great customer service and took them back. I will not buy DeWalt bits again!

Overall this is a very good set of bits / accessories for impact drivers. 3 star review is because the product photo is not accurate. This set DOES NOT come with the 3/8" nut driver that is shown in the photo. Instead it comes with a 3/8" socket adapter. I specifically needed this part... so I ended up keeping the set and buying the nut driver separately at a brick and mortar store for about $3.50. Overall this is not the end of the world but I would encourage Amazon to update their product photo. I've attached a photo with the complete list of parts included in this set.

I don't like puzzle boxes when I work. I've used drill bits before. I'm not 10 years old. Mostly what I expected is what I got without any need for instructions or explanation except for the magnetic sleeve which I've never used before. I couldn't make out exactly what this was from the picture on amazon but I ordered anyway because I had a project to do and I need a better quality set of bits than those from HF. So first off, I'm thinking what is this thing and why do they include what looks to be a cut off screw and what's this 'pull' mean on the packaging. The picture on the package makes no sense either. I spent over an hour trying to figure out what this is. Yeah, I've heard of google and youtube. The problem is that dewalt makes all kinds of versions of this and all kinds of different versions of this kit and it's not intuitive at all and it's not easy to work. Anyway for noobs like me with these mag sleeves this is how it works. The sleeve is designed to hold the bit in place with a screw attached to the other end. You can still use two hands but you don't have to hold the screw in place and the drill at the same time. At one end of the sleeve, it's magnetized so the head of the screw attaches. At the other end you insert one of the torq flex bits. I don't know if I got a bad one or not but I have to really twist and jam to get the bit in and out of the sleeve. Anyway, if it's inserted properly you should see the end of the bit sticking out from the magnetic end. Attach the head of the screw to this end and voila.I also hate the box. When you close it how do you know if it is up or down, locked or unlocked. The sleeve and one of the bits doesn't have a holder so they are loose and so they fall out or you have to fiddle with them. The bits themselves look very good. I haven't had a chance to try them yet. Because this arrived late, I had to finish my project without them which was hard to do with crappy bits. But, these seem well made. However, many of these I'll never use so I would have liked more #ph3 bits for instance but this is always the case when you buy a set.So, 0 stars for packaging and design, and 5 stars for what looks like good bits.update: Oddly, ever since I got these, they've been my go to bits. Haven't had one fail yet and IMHO the flex bits actually work and if you set your drill clutch correctly there's less opportunity to strip a screw. I just wish that they came with more of a variety of bits vs the number of #2s but I suppose I'd be complaining if it came with a whole bunch of bits I never use.

I love these bits! I’ve been using the same #2 Phillips bit for a month and not a bit of wear on it. It also fits better than most Phillips bits into the fasteners I’ve used.As for those that are having trouble removing the bits from the case, did you read the simple instructions on the package? Grab the top of bit and pull it up, then straight out. It is actually one of the better bit holders I’ve had in a case. Easy to remove and stay secure in case.

Lots of little bits I’ll probably never use, but this kit earns it’s salt every time I strap up that magnetic screw holder. The compact carrying case is also A+. Seems durable enough, and fits comfortably in the carrying case which came with my DeWalt compact 20V Max drill/driver. Money well spent.
