Not sure about this.... all ready showing signs of chipping. Requested replacements, we will see. No, it’s not the rotor. It too is a Bosch, replaced the same time as the pads. Seriously, one week and showing signs of failure? I’m counting on the fact this is a “one off” as usually Bosch is top of the line, and I don’t mess around with my brakes. Will update as this progresses, and summarily, will alter review accordingly.See pics.Update... 11/03- opposite side just as bad. Received replacements from Amazon(thanks). Not sure I would purchase again. Not crazy about doing a job twice because of poor quality....Additional pics posted.

FINAL UPDATE May 2019: Decided to replace my brake rotors because they were making the steering wheel shake. I put 61K miles on these brake pads and they were still about 50% depleted. I bought a replacement pair and seriously can't recommend them enough. Such a quiet and smooth set of pads. I recommend buying them on RockAuto because they're about $10 cheaper ;)UPDATE February 2019: Brake pads are still great and still feel as grippy as the day we put them on. Plus, Bosch now makes brake pads for my fiancé’s ST. We’re one big, happy Bosch family now.Original review: I LOVE these brake pads! My fiance splurged a bit on me (love that man) and bought some nice Bosch brake pads for my 2007 Mazda 3. Installed them in July 2016 and now in November 2017, he says he still sees no wear on them. Awesome. They stop very smoothly and no dust gets on my rims... My fiance is only slightly jealous that Bosch has not yet made brake pads for his Ford Fiesta ST. We would buy them again in a heartbeat.

It was advertised as brand new. I ordered it together with another Bosch brake for my other car (Bosch BP1295 QuietCast). Check out the difference in packaging in the attached pictures. Obviously, this BC914 pads look used, jaded, dusty and have too many scratches all over them. They look like someone bought them earlier and returned them after a little use. The paint work on the body of the brake pads are also pealing. The shin are scattered in the box unlike the other purchase with the shin still intact in a sealed package. Also, the lubricant is missing. All these irregularities in spite of the fact that the package came with a "Amazon Warehouse" seal. I'm disappointed. I won't recommend this to anyone.

Note! The inner and outer pads for the 09-14 (and possibly other) F150s are different. It is subtle to the eye, but not subtle to the truck. The inner pads have “ears” on them while the outers do not. The outer pads also have 2 raised bumps in the middle of the pad.I replaced my pads about 8k miles ago and unfortunately did not research beforehand as I usually do. Big mistake. I put the passenger side pads on incorrectly. Pad and rotor demolished in 8,000 miles. I imagine this is the reason for the poor reviews as well. It’s not the pads, unfortunately it is the installation. Drivers side was installed correctly and those are holding up perfectly.Again, in 8,000 miles it chewed through an entire pad and ate up my rotor. Completely my fault, but be aware.

After reading some of the negative reviews about squeaking I was a little concerned but I bought them anyway and installed them on my 2014 Ford Focus. They were packaged extremely well. Each pad was individually wrapped with paper and the anti rattle clips were included. I drove my normal route for about a week then went on a 2400 mile round trip from Indiana to Florida. They performed flawlessly even through the mountains of Tennessee without issue. I would buy again.

I have a 2014 S4 that has 43K miles, and finally got the brake lights that indicate the pads need replacing. I have read that that is easily a $1000 - $1500 service at the Audi dealer, and after inspecting all of the parts I could see that the rotors looked ok (and I have a caliper and could measure that they were well within the wear limits), and I could see that the rear pads had plenty of life left, so I opted to just try changing out the pads on the front myself. There are some excellent guides online in writing as well as a couple of great YouTube videos on the subject, so I figured what the heck - why not give it a try.I decided to go with ceramic pads after seeing that they drastically reduce the amount of brake dust buildup. After searching for pads, I found there are lots of options. I have used Bosch parts for various cars over the years, and they typically make great OEM replacement parts that hold up. I was surprised to see how BADLY these pads were reviewed on Amazon, but I could see the sample size was small and the main complaint seemed to be the brake wear sensor did not fit correctly, so I purchased the pads along with a separate brake sensor (about $10 extra bucks). Note that ONLY one sensor is needed (the driver's side has the sensor, but the passenger side does NOT have one). I also bought some additional brake pad lubricant (which goes on the back of the pads to reduce squealing / squeeking). Finally, I bought a little tool that pushes the caliper back into the housing so that the new pads can be "wide" enough to fit over the rotor (in hindsight, I really didn't need the $8 tool, but it made the job a little easier). So the package arrived from Amazon with the brake pads, and in the box I found a packet of brake lubricant (so I didn't need to buy the extra lube), AND the wear sensor was already hooked up to one of the pads and ready to install. Well, I found that changing out the pads was incredibly easy and took me about 30 minutes total to do both sides after I managed to get the car jacked up and wheels off. The swear sensor plug-in took me a few minutes to figure out (mostly how to get the old one unplugged from the car so that I did not damage the receiving end of the plug; basically you just spin the plug 90 degrees either direction, and THEN you can unclip it ... really not much more difficult than changing out a Christmas light bulb that is a little stubborn, not a big deal). After getting everything plugged in and bolted back together, I pumped the brake a few times until it felt normal, and then took the car out for a spin. The brake light is off, and the brakes work GREAT. With just a tap of the pedal the car doesn't want to stop (so not as much "bite" as OEM pads), but with increased pressure the car stops JUST as quick if not a little quicker. And after having the pads on for a week, the front wheels look pristine (the back wheels were not quite as bad originally, but now I can already see the difference ... when those pads wear out I will be replacing them with ceramic pads as well). So now I have an extra wear sensor and lube, but I still wound up paying well under a hundred bucks grand total (and for better quality brake pads than if I just went to a local shop or dealer). This was a fun, relatively easy, and hugely satisfying project - if you have some basic mechanical skills, I highly encourage you to dive in and change out the pads yourself. And if you have an Audi S4, know that these pads are a PERFECT fit, they work great, and the wear sensor included with the kit works just fine. Good luck and happy braking!
